The Fund, using a passive or indexing investment approach, seeks investment results that correspond generally to the performance, before fees and expenses, of the Underlying Index, which is a capitalization weighted index that provides exposure to companies with high environmental, social and governance ( ESG ) performance relative to their sector peers. The Underlying Index consists of large- and medium-capitalization companies across emerging markets countries. Emerging markets countries are countries that major international financial institutions, such as the World Bank, generally consider to be less economically mature than developed nations. Emerging markets countries can include every nation in the world except the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and countries located in Western Europe. The Underlying Index is rebalanced quarterly in February, May, August and November, and thus the Fund rebalances its portfolio in a corresponding fashion.
