NEW YORK, November 29, 2017 /PRNewswire/ --
According to data compiled by Grand View Research, the global lithium-ion battery market is expected to reach $93.1 billion by 2025 and growing at a CAGR of 17 percent. The strong growth rate is based off the increasing usage of lithium-ion batteries. These batteries are used for many commonly used products such as electric vehicles, portable electronics, and grid energy storage systems. Lithium-ion batteries are high in energy density and high in safety ratings, which is driving the market demand higher. Energy storage grids drive a majority of the lithium-ion market. The focus in the near future however, will be the adoption rate of electric cars. The EU has now pushed to transition into electric vehicles and banning diesel powered ones. Quantum Cobalt Corp.
