Charter Communications Announces Three New York City Agencies As Winners Of Spectrum Digital Education Grants

NEW YORK, Nov. 1, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Charter Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ:CHTR) today announced that three New York City nonprofit agencies – the Queens-based Asian Americans for Equality, Community League of the Heights, located in the Washington Heights area, and the Stanley M. Isaac Neighborhood Center in upper Manhattan – have been named as winners of its second round of Spectrum Digital Education grants.

The grants are a philanthropic initiative designed to support nonprofit organizations that educate community members on the benefits of broadband and how to use it to improve their lives.

The grants fulfill a $1 million commitment to provide digital education in Charter communities through financial grants to local nonprofit organizations.

Charter received 170 eligible grant applications and awarded Spectrum Digital Education grants to 23 nonprofit organizations across the country. Below is a complete list of award winners:
