FireEye Endpoint Security Earns Approved Business Product Award From AV-Comparatives

Real-world independent testing reveals FireEye as the only next-gen endpoint solution with zero false positives

FireEye, Inc. (NASDAQ:FEYE), the intelligence-led security company, today announced that AV-Comparatives has awarded FireEye® Endpoint Security their Approved Business Product Award for endpoint protection and performance capabilities. In the latest round of tests FireEye detected 99.3 percent of malicious activity and reported zero false positive alerts.

Eliminate False-Positive Fatigue

False alerts are costly to any security operation. They take away limited analyst time and bury real threats underneath thousands of non-critical ones. The manual nature of reviewing these alerts puts a huge burden on companies in the form of wasted analyst time and alert fatigue among those responsible for protecting an organization. The additional maintenance work also increases the complexity of deployment and can increase the total cost of solution ownership.

To earn the Approved Business Product Award, tested products must score at least 90 percent in the Malware Protection Test and at least 90 percent in the overall Real-World Protection Test over the course of four months with zero false alarms on common business software. Tested products must also avoid major performance issues and have fixed all reported bugs in order to gain certification. Results showed that FireEye had zero false positives, while simultaneously protecting against 99.7 percent of malware, and 99.3 percent of real-world scenarios.
