Eaton Vance New Jersey Municipal Income Trust Announces Results of Special Shareholder Meeting Relating to Merger

BOSTON, Jan. 11, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- At a Special Meeting of Shareholders held on January 10, 2019, shareholders of Eaton Vance New Jersey Municipal Income Trust (NYSE:EVJ) approved the merger of EVJ into Eaton Vance Municipal Income Trust (NYSE:EVN).

The merger is currently expected to be completed as of the close of business of the New York Stock Exchange on or about February 22, 2019, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.  Each EVJ shareholder will be issued common shares of EVN at an exchange ratio based on the Funds' respective net asset values per share.
