MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 15, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Fiber One is expanding its cereal portfolio with the launch of Fiber One Strawberries and Vanilla Clusters, available in retailers nationwide beginning this month. Made with steel cut oats, vanilla clusters and delicious, real strawberries, this new variety is a tasty way for consumers to increase their fiber intake.

"We're excited to add Fiber One Strawberries and Vanilla Clusters to our cereal lineup," said Kim Seifert, senior marketing manager for Fiber One. "Fiber One has always been the tasty way to fiber, and by adding real strawberries and vanilla clusters, we know this latest product introduction will delight consumers looking for a new fiber-rich option in the cereal aisle."

According to the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2015-2016, nine out of 10 Americans aren't getting enough fiber. That's why new Fiber One Strawberries and Vanilla Clusters has 35 percent of the daily recommended value of fiber in every one-cup serving. No pills, nothing to stir, just real food with a taste consumers will love.

"It can be challenging to get enough fiber in your diet, especially if it's not top-of-mind," said Lauren Harris-Pincus, MS, RDN. "But with Fiber One, it's as simple as a bowl of cereal. With the great taste of real strawberries and vanilla clusters, consumers now have another easy way to get more fiber, while still eating something they enjoy."

The 2015-2020 Dietary Guidelines recommend that Americans get at least 28 grams of fiber in their diet each day, but most only average 16 grams. In addition to the current Fiber One Original Bran and Fiber One Honey Clusters cereal, Fiber One Strawberries and Vanilla Clusters is just one more way consumers can increase their fiber intake and start to close that gap.

Fiber One Strawberries and Vanilla Clusters has a $4.29 SRP for a 13.2 oz box and is available now in grocery stores and at retailers nationwide.
