First Republic Adds Four Wealth Managers in New York

First Republic Bank (NYSE:FRC), a leading private bank and wealth management company, today announced that four wealth managers have joined First Republic Private Wealth Management in New York City.

George Fuchs and David Schulman were named Managing Director and Wealth Manager, and Gregory Carafello and Chad Cohen were named Vice President and Wealth Manager. They will provide investment management, retirement planning, investment consulting and other wealth management services to individuals, families, businesses, nonprofits, pensions and foundations. They will work in First Republic's office at 1230 Avenue of the Americas.

Fuchs has 21 years of wealth management experience. Prior to First Republic, he was a Managing Director with Wells Fargo. Earlier in his career, he worked for Citi-Smith Barney and Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. Fuchs is active as a community service volunteer and teaches beginning finance to small business owners at the City University of New York's Graduate Center. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Atmospheric Science from State University of New York at Albany. He holds the professional designations of Accredited Investment Fiduciary^®, Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist^®, Chartered Life Underwriter^® and Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®).

Schulman has 22 years of wealth management experience. Prior to First Republic, he was a Managing Director with Wells Fargo. Earlier in his career, he worked for Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. Schulman is active in the local community and helps coach and train youth athletes in baseball, basketball and fitness. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from State University of New York at Albany. He holds the Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) designation.

Carafello has seven years of wealth management experience. Prior to First Republic, he was an Associate Vice President with Wells Fargo and was a senior market strategist at Gain Capital Group. Carafello is active in the local community and served as a board member and treasurer of the Rutgers Club of New York City for five years. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management, Labor Studies and Employment Relations from Rutgers College at the State University of New Jersey.

Cohen has five years of wealth management experience. Prior to First Republic, he was an Associate Vice President with Wells Fargo and was a financial advisor at Credit Suisse. He is active in the local community and was a past board member and treasurer of the Israel Cancer Research Fund's Visions Board. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island and an MBA from Cornell University's Johnson Graduate School of Management. He holds the Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) designation.
