BancorpSouth Bank (NYSE:BXS), BankPlus, Trustmark National Bank and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) will award $16,000 in Partnership Grant Program (PGP) funds to Housing Education and Economic Development, Inc. (HEED), which provides mortgage and foreclosure prevention counseling and fair housing education to residents in Jackson, Mississippi. The grant will be used to help offset operational and administrative expenses.
The media is encouraged to join local dignitaries and bank representatives at a check presentation at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 22, 2019, at HEED's offices at 3405 Medgar Evers Boulevard in Jackson.
The structure of the PGP enables FHLB Dallas member institutions, like BancorpSouth Bank, BankPlus and Trustmark National Bank, to make a contribution of $500 to $4,000 to a community-based organization (CBO), which FHLB Dallas matches at a 3:1 ratio.
