Longest tenured bill payment site for the IRS, OfficialPayments.com, has processed more than $20 billion in IRS tax payments

ACI Worldwide (NASDAQ:ACIW), a leading global provider of real-time electronic payment and banking solutions, today announced that the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will once again utilize the company's online bill payment portal OfficialPayments.com. It is the longest tenured service provider for the IRS and has processed more than $20 billion in IRS tax payments securely over the last 20 years.

As more people embrace online and mobile for paying bills, ACI's OfficialPayments.com provides taxpayers with convenient options to quickly and securely view, manage and pay their federal, state and local taxes. In fact, 80 percent of IRS electronic payments made through ACI are made online or via a mobile browser. Mobile alone saw an increase of 27 percent in IRS payments from 2017 to 2018, further validating consumers' increasing comfort with making secure payments through a mobile device.

"We've invested in ACI's bill payment solution to ensure a secure process for taxpayers to manage incoming and outgoing payments during tax season," said Sanjay Gupta, executive vice president, ACI Worldwide. "OfficialPayments.com has been utilized by taxpayers for 20 years, and provides them with a quick, easy, reliable and secure way to pay their bills. We're excited to continue our partnership with the IRS, as it validates the flexibility, scalability and overall power of our bill payment solution."
