New Jersey State Park Passes Now Available for Purchase Online Through YourPassNow

Business Wire 1-Apr-2019 9:00 AM

The New Jersey Division of NICUSA Inc. announced today that it has launched a new New Jersey State Park Pass service through YourPassNow. This service is part of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's overall effort to encourage New Jerseyans to visit the state's beautiful state parks.

New Jersey State Park Passes are now available through YourPassNow, a digital marketplace that makes it easy and convenient for visitors to purchase electronic passes, permits, and tickets to public lands online. New Jersey is the first state in the nation to offer state park passes through this online service, joining a growing list of federal and state public lands that offer digital access through YourPassNow.

"The Division of Parks and Forestry is excited to offer a new and convenient way to purchase a New Jersey State Park Pass through YourPassNow," said Parks and Forestry Director Olivia Glenn. "We hope to attract more State Park Pass holders who enjoy the beautiful beaches, historic sites, and the 1,000 miles of trails in the state park system."

YourPassNow allows both residents and non-residents of New Jersey to purchase their annual pass online rather than submitting a mailed form or going to a park office in person. The annual pass provides entrance for one calendar year to New Jersey State Parks, Forests and Historic Sites facilities, bypassing the daily walk-in costs or parking fees.

Visitors can order one or more passes, including discounted household passes for other members of their household. Visitors can also order New Jersey State Park Passes as gifts for friends and family.

Visit YourPassNow.com to order your New Jersey State Park Pass. Select New Jersey State Parks from the dropdown menu or click New Jersey on the map.

Developed in cooperation with the National Park Service, YourPassNow provides an alternative to the traditional paper-based, in-person purchase method while simultaneously providing public lands with a tool to help manage the visitor experience.

The NJ Division of Parks and Forestry partnered with the New Jersey Division of NICUSA Inc. to offer the New Jersey State Park Passes on YourPassNow.

The State Park Service boasts 47 state parks, forests, recreation areas, battlefields and marinas. Camping is available at 19 sites, from Brendan T. Byrne State Forest in the Pinelands to Stokes State Forest near the Delaware Water Gap to Parvin State Park in Salem County. Visit www.camping.nj.gov to reserve your site today.
