Axalta's Bryan Shelton Honored as Responsible Care Employee of the Year

PHILADELPHIA, April 25, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Axalta (NYSE:AXTA), a leading manufacturer of powder and liquid coatings, is pleased to announce Bryan Shelton, Global Responsible Care Coordinator for Axalta, has received the American Chemistry Council's (ACC) Responsible Care® Employee of the Year award.

The Responsible Care® Employee of the Year Award recognizes chemical industry leaders for exemplary environmental, health, and safety initiatives. The award is presented annually to one member and one partner company employee for outstanding leadership.

Bryan Shelton led Axalta's transition from RC14001:2013 to RC14001:2015 by combining a multi-task, stage-gate approach to building organizational knowledge, maintaining effective communications, and coordinating frequent engagement to keep the process on-track. Axalta achieved full global multi-site certification in 2017, a direct result of Bryan's dedication, drive and insightful roll-out and effective transition process.
