Fiduciary Trust's Ellen Kratzer Named Chair of STEP USA

NEW YORK, May 14, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Fiduciary Trust Company International, a global wealth manager and wholly-owned subsidiary of Franklin Templeton, proudly announces that Ellen Kratzer, managing director, has been appointed chair of STEP USA, the national organization overseeing the 18 branches and chapters of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP) in the United States.

STEP seeks to educate the public about inheritance and succession planning issues faced by families, as well as promote high professional standards among those who work in the trust and estate field. The organization offers a variety of qualifications, professional development programs, and networking opportunities for its members. Ms. Kratzer serves Fiduciary Trust clients in the US, Canada, Europe and Asia. She is responsible for maintaining and managing relationships with individuals, families and their advisors, and collaborating with them to find the best solutions for achieving clients' goals. Ms. Kratzer is widely recognized for her expertise and her contributions to the industry, having been named a "Woman of Influence" by the New York Business Journal in 2018. She also received the "Wall Street Women of Excellence Award" from Traders Magazine in 2013.

Ms. Kratzer is currently co-chair of the Council for Canadian-American Relations and is a former chair of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees' US board. From 2014 to 2016, Ms. Kratzer was president of the Association of Junior Leagues International, comprising 150,000 women volunteers across 291 Junior Leagues in the US, Canada, Mexico and the UK.
