CEMEX, S.A.B. de C.V. ("CEMEX") (NYSE:CX) announced today that, for the fourth consecutive year, the Mexican Stock Exchange (Spanish: Bolsa Mexicana de Valores or BMV) recognized CEMEX as the company with the highest overall sustainability credentials from a total of 57 listed companies. As part of this annual assessment, CEMEX also outperformed the average score of its industry.
For the eighth consecutive year, the Mexican Stock Exchange included CEMEX in its Sustainability Index, which comprises the top performers in the three pillars of sustainability: Corporate Governance, Social Responsibility, and Environmental Care.
The award ceremony was held on June 14 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, at the 10th Issuer Forum of the Mexican Stock Exchange. Jaime Ruiz Sacristán, Chairman of the Mexican Stock Exchange, and José Oriol Bosch, CEO of the Mexican Stock Exchange, hosted the event.
