View a chart of realized stock volatility for the last year. Typically, we use OHLC (Open-High-Low-Close) in our
calculations, but this chart lets you see a breakdown by volatility type -- Close-to-Close, Open-to-Close, or
Close-to-Open -- to see if volatility tends to be happening more on an opening jump or through activity
during the trading session.
Option traders can use market volatility numbers to make a projection about the implied one-day price change in a stock.
In this chart, you can see the market's expected range for each of the last 20 days alongside the actual results.
See if option traders are under- or over-pricing daily volatility. The blue bars represent the expected range of the
stock's move for a single day, while the red and green bars indicate whether the
stock moved up or down and by how much in comparison with the market's implied value.
Put protection percentage is a great measure of risk in the option market, and with our analysis you can compare the
premium required to protect your position against both upside and downside moves. Includes forward-looking values for
30-, 60-, 90- and 120-day maturity, as well as historical data analyzing the average, high, and low premium percentage over
the last year's worth of trading.
Order flow sentiment shows the ratio of buy orders that were executed on the offer price in the calls versus buy orders in the
puts in single non-complex orders. Individual orders that seek immediate execution on the offer can reflect investors sentiment
in the direction and volatility or magnitude of a move. A shift in ratio of the quantity and notional amount of put buying or
call buying can display a change in investor sentiment.
Premium users are now able to access more option trading data for an underlying stock. On the Option Trades page,
there's a date selection that allows you to view and download option trades for up to the last 60 available trading days.
The VWAP Table page has been expanded to include historical VWAP data, for the Premarket, Main Session, or After Hours,
for up to the last 20 available trading days.
