| Investment Objective: |
The iShares Large Cap Max Buffer Dec ETF (the "Fund") seeks to track the share price return of the iShares Core S&P 500 ETF (the "Underlying ETF" or "Underlying Fund") up to an approximate upside limit, while seeking to maximize the downside protection against price declines of the Underlying ETF over an approximate 12-month period beginning at the end of each December. The Fund principally buys shares of the Underlying ETF and customized put options thereon and sells call options that reference the Underlying ETF. The options in which the Fund transacts (typically, equity or index exchange-traded options contracts) are referred to generally as Flexible Exchange Options ("FLEX Options"). The Underlying ETF is an ETF that seeks to track the investment results of the S&P 500 Index (the "Underlying ETF's Index"), which measures the performance of the large-capitalization sector of the U.S. equity market, as determined by S&P Dow Jones Indices, LLC ("SPDJI"). |
