The iShares Large Cap Max Buffer Dec ETF (the "Fund") seeks to track the share price return of the iShares Core S&P 500 ETF (the "Underlying ETF" or "Underlying Fund") up to an approximate upside limit, while seeking to maximize the downside protection against price declines of the Underlying ETF over an approximate 12-month period beginning at the end of each December. The Fund principally buys shares of the Underlying ETF and customized put options thereon and sells call options that reference the Underlying ETF. The options in which the Fund transacts (typically, equity or index exchange-traded options contracts) are referred to generally as Flexible Exchange Options ("FLEX Options"). The Underlying ETF is an ETF that seeks to track the investment results of the S&P 500 Index (the "Underlying ETF's Index"), which measures the performance of the large-capitalization sector of the U.S. equity market, as determined by S&P Dow Jones Indices, LLC ("SPDJI").
iShares Large Cap Max Buffer Dec ETF trades on the BATS stock market under the symbol DMAX.
As of March 13, 2026, DMAX stock price declined to $26.65 with 36,612 million shares trading.
DMAX has a beta of 0.18, meaning it tends to be less sensitive to market movements. DMAX has a correlation of 0.89 to the broad based SPY ETF.
DMAX has a market cap of $139.62 million. This is considered a Micro Cap stock.
DMAX has underperformed the market in the last year with a return of +8.6%, while SPY returned +21.4%. This shows that you would have done better investing in the overall market (through SPY) over the last year than in DMAX shares. However, DMAX has outperformed the market in the last 3 month and 2 week periods, returning +0.3% and -0.6%, while SPY returned -2.6% and -3.5%, respectively. This indicates DMAX has been having a stronger performance recently.
DMAX support price is $26.61 and resistance is $26.72 (based on 1 day standard deviation move). This means that using the most recent 20 day stock volatility and applying a one standard deviation move around the stock's closing price, stastically there is a 67% probability that DMAX shares will trade within this expected range on the day.
