The investment objective of the VanEck U.S. Equity Buffer ETF - October (the "Fund") is to seek to provide investors with returns that match the price return of the Underlying ETF, up to a predetermined upside cap of 13.75% while providing a buffer (before fees and expenses) against the first 17.00% of Underlying ETF losses, over the period from approximately October 1 through September 30. The Fund is an actively managed exchange-traded fund that seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing, under normal circumstances, at least 80% of its total assets in investments that provide exposure to one or more ETFs or unit investment trusts (collectively, the "Underlying ETF"), which seek to track an index comprised of U.S. equities. The Underlying ETF seeks to provide investment results that, before fees and expenses, correspond generally to the price and yield performance of the S&P 500 Index, by investing in equity securities of U.S. companies, including companies with large capitalizations. The Fund employs a defined outcome strategy which seeks to produce pre-determined investment outcomes (the "Outcomes") based on the performance of the share price of the Underlying ETF over an approximate one year period.
