The fund, using a "passive" or indexing investment approach, seeks investment results that correspond generally to the performance, before fees and expenses, of the S&P 500 Growth Scored & Screened Index (the "Underlying Index"). The Underlying Index is a broad-based, market capitalization weighted index that provides expo- sure to companies with high environmental, social and governance ("ESG") performance relative to their sector peers, while maintaining similar overall industry group weights as the S&P 500 Growth Index. The S&P 500 Growth Index measures the performance of the large- capitalization growth sector of the U.S. equity market and consists of those stocks in the S&P 500 Index exhibiting the strongest growth characteristics, as determined by S&P Dow Jones Indices LLC (the "Index Provider").
