The iShares 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF seeks to track the investment results of an index composed of U.S. Treasury bonds with remaining maturities greater than twenty years. The ICE U.S. Treasury 20+ Year Bond Index is part of a series of indices intended to assess U.S. Treasury issued debt. Only U.S. dollar denominated, fixed rate securities with minimum term to maturity greater than twenty years are included.
iShares 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF trades on the NASDAQ stock market under the symbol TLT.
As of March 31, 2026, TLT stock price declined to $86.69 with 43,122,690 million shares trading.
TLT has a beta of -0.18, meaning it tends to be less sensitive to market movements. TLT has a correlation of 0.07 to the broad based SPY ETF.
TLT has a market cap of $42.57 billion. This is considered a Large Cap stock.
In the last 3 years, TLT traded as high as $108.87 and as low as $82.42.
TLT has underperformed the market in the last year with a return of +0.5%, while SPY returned +18.4%. This shows that you would have done better investing in the overall market (through SPY) over the last year than in TLT shares. However, TLT has outperformed the market in the last 3 month and 2 week periods, returning -0.6% and -0.6%, while SPY returned -5.1% and -2.5%, respectively. This indicates TLT has been having a stronger performance recently.
TLT support price is $86.12 and resistance is $87.45 (based on 1 day standard deviation move). This means that using the most recent 20 day stock volatility and applying a one standard deviation move around the stock's closing price, stastically there is a 67% probability that TLT shares will trade within this expected range on the day.
