Vanguard Ultra-Short Bond ETF seeks to provide current income while maintaining limited price volatility, and aggregate performance consistent with ultra-short-term, investment-grade fixed income securities. It is expected to maintain a dollar-weighted average maturity of 0 to 2 years. Under normal circumstances, the fund will invest at least 80% of its assets in fixed income securities. Vanguard Fixed Income Group, the fund s advisor, emphasizes sectors and securities that represent good relative value, while modestly adjusting portfolio duration to reflect the near-term interest rate outlook, shape of the yield curve, and other factors.
Vanguard Ultra-Short Bond ETF trades on the BATS stock market under the symbol VUSB.
As of February 28, 2025, VUSB stock price climbed to $49.89 with 648,529 million shares trading.
VUSB has a market cap of $4.60 billion. This is considered a Mid Cap stock.
In the last 3 years, VUSB traded as high as $49.98 and as low as $48.08.
VUSB has underperformed the market in the last year with a return of +5.9%, while SPY returned +18.8%. This shows that you would have done better investing in the overall market (through SPY) over the last year than in VUSB shares. However, VUSB has outperformed the market in the last 3 month and 2 week periods, returning +1.5% and +0.4%, while SPY returned -0.4% and -2.5%, respectively. This indicates VUSB has been having a stronger performance recently.
VUSB support price is $49.81 and resistance is $49.85 (based on 1 day standard deviation move). This means that using the most recent 20 day stock volatility and applying a one standard deviation move around the stock's closing price, stastically there is a 67% probability that VUSB shares will trade within this expected range on the day.
