Saturday - April 5

  • All day - The OPEC+ Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee will convene online to review the supply decision for May.

 

Monday - April 7

  • Volatility watch - Super Micro Computer (SMCI) and Hims & Hers Health (HIMS) have a high level of implied volatility based on options trading. Semler Scientific (SMLR) and Quantum Corporation (QMCO) have an elevated level of short interest outstanding on them heading into the new week. The most overbought stocks per their 14-day relative strength index include Maywood Acquisition (MAYA), ProAssurance (PRA), and Radius Recycling (RDUS). The most oversold stocks per their 14-day Relative Strength Index include Xerox (XRX) and Vaxcyte (PCVX). Newsmax (NMAX) will also be watched closely after a wild first week of trading.
  • IPO watch - Network software firm Fatpipe (FATN) is expected to price its IPO and start trading. Blocks of shares of KinderCare (KLC), Click Holdings (CLIK), and Upstream Bio (UPB) move past their IPO lockup period.
  • Earnings watch - Notable companies due to report include Levi Strauss (LEVI) and Dave & Buster's (PLAY).
  • All day - The NAB Show in Las Vegas will continue after starting over the weekend. Comcast (CMCSA), Verizon (VZ), and Sinclair (SBGI) are some of the companies expected to make announcements.
  • All day - Speakers at the TED Conference include OpenAI's Sam Altman, former Google (GOOG) CEO Eric Schmidt, and Whole Foods Market founder John Mackey.
  • All day - The four-day Fortinet (FTNT) Accelerate25 event will begin. CEO Ken Xie will be one of the keynote speakers. Shares of Fortinet (FTNT) have rallied in the past following the event.
  • All day - The four-day Needham Virtual Healthcare Conference will include presentations and fireside chat from leading public and private companies in the Biopharma, Medtech, Diagnostics and Digital Health sectors. Participating companies include Immunome (IMNM), Lucid Diagnostics (LUCD), Rocket Pharmaceuticals (RCKT), and Alkermes (ALKS).
  • All day - The four-day Space Symposium conference in Colorado Springs will feature representatives from the U.S. Space Force, Palantir (PLTR), NASA, Amazon (AMZN) AWS, Northrop Grumman (NOC), Raytheon (RTX), L3Harris (LHX), Blue Origin (BORGN), and SpaceX (SPACE).

 

Tuesday - April 8

  • Earnings watch - Notable companies due to report include Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA), Tilray (TLRY), and Cal-Maine Foods (CALM).
  • All day - The two-day Stifel Virtual Targeted Oncology Forum will include participation from Compugen (CGEN), Zymeworks (ZYME), Innate Pharma (IPHA), and Revolution Medicines (RVMD).
  • All day - Atlassian (TEAM) will hold its three-day Team25 event in Anaheim, California. CEO Mike Cannon-Brookes will be one of the keynote speakers.
  • All day - Paris Blockchain Week will begin. Featured speakers include Yves Choueifaty of TOBAM, Anthony Scaramucci of Skybridge, and Jean-Marie Mognetti of CoinShares.
  • All day - The EIA will publish its short-term energy outlook.

 

Wednesday - April 9

  • Earnings watch - Notable companies due to report include Constellation Brands (STZ), PriceSmart (PSMT), and Delta Air Lines (DAL). 
  • All day - New country-specific tariffs mandated by the U.S. will become effective.
  • All day - The three-day Google Cloud Next event will begin in Las Vegas. Google Cloud and industry leaders are expected to make major new announcements and offer key perspectives.
  • 9:00 a.m. Walmart (WMT) will hold an investment community meeting.
  • 12:30 p.m. Richmond Federal Reserve Bank President Thomas Barkin will participate in a conversation with the Economic Club of Washington.
  • 2:00 p.m. The Federal Reserve will release the minutes of its last meeting. Analysts think the detailed insights into the discussions and considerations of the policymakers could be more intriguing than normal after the Fed leaned into stagflation risks at the March FOMC meeting.
  • 4:00 p.m. Nasdaq will release its short interest data report.

 

Thursday - April 10

  • Earnings watch - Notable companies due to report include CarMax (KMX). Options trading implies a double-digit share price swing for Lovesac (LOVE) after its report.
  • All day - Walmart (WMT) will hold its annual shareholder meeting.
  • All day - TD Synnex (SNX) will hold its Investor Day event.
  • 8:30 a.m. The Consumer Price Index report for March will be released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
  • 12:00 p.m. Chicago Federal Reserve Bank President Austan Goolsbee will participate in a moderated question-and-answer session before the Economic Club of New York.
  • 2:30 p.m. Federal Reserve Board Governor Lisa Cook will speak on the economic outlook before the University of Pittsburgh 2025 McKay Lecture event.

 

Friday - April 11

  • Earnings watch - Notable companies due to report include JPMorgan Chase (JPM), Wells Fargo (WFC), Morgan Stanley (MS), Blackrock (BLK), and Bank of New York Mellon (BK). Options trading implies a double-digit swing when Children's Place (PLCE) reports.
  • 8:30 a.m. The producer price index report for March will be released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
  • 11:00 a.m. New York Federal Reserve Bank President John Williams will speak on the economic outlook and monetary policy before the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce.
