Ferrari gains as it cruises right around the tariff turmoil

Ferrari N.V. (NYSE:RACE) owners waiting for deliveries of their cars already ordered will have to pay tariffs.

"Purchase contracts for Ferraris have clear and standard clauses allowing the company to adjust prices in case trade conditions change before the vehicle's delivery," noted a Ferrari (NYSE:RACE) spokesperson said.

Notably, Ferrari (RACE) said last week said it was increasing prices by a maximum of 10% on some of the models it sells in the U.S. Of course, Ferrari (RACE) manufactures all of its cars at its historic Maranello headquarters in northern Italy.

Ferrari (RACE) is one of the few automobile stocks that is considered tariff-resistant due to the average wealth of its customer base. Analysts have also noted that demand has held up for Ferrari (RACE) in the past during economic downturns. Amid the latest tariff turmoil, Ferrari (RACE) gained 1.8% on Wednesday and moved up another 0.5% in premarket action on Thursday.
