At least one member of Congress bought the dip.
Amid the recent tariff-induced market sell-off, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene disclosed that she purchased positioned in companies across several sectors, including tech stocks.
A new congressional trading form filed by Greene disclosed that she purchased positioned in companies on April 3 and April 4, including Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL), Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN), Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A) (NYSE:BRK.B), and Dell Technologies (DELL), worth between $1,001 and $15,000 each.
The 50-year-old Congresswoman representing the 14th district in Georgia also purchased stakes in Caterpillar (CAT), FedEx (FDX), Impinj (PI), J.P. Morgan (JPM), Lam Research (LRCX), Lululemon (LULU), Nike (NKE), Old Dominion Freight Line (ODFL), Qualcomm (QCOM), RH (RH), Southern Company (SO) and UPS (UPS). The value of these stakes were also between $1,001 and $15,000 and occurred during the market sell-off of April 3 and April 4.
Congresswoman Greene has become one of the more active legislators in terms of purchasing stocks. She disclosed several purchases last month during a market sell-off and made purchases in December 2024 and January 2025, a week after President Trump's inauguration.
