State Street SPDR MSCI ACWI ex-US ETF seeks to provide investment results that, before fees and expenses, correspond generally to the total return performance of an index based upon broad based world (ex-US) equity markets. In seeking to track the performance of the MSCI All Country World Index ex USA Index. Under normal market conditions, the Fund generally invests substantially all, but at least 80%, of its total assets in the securities comprising the Index and in depositary receipts (including American Depositary Receipts ("ADRs") or Global Depositary Receipts ("GDRs")) based on securities comprising the Index. In addition, in seeking to track the Index, the Fund may invest in equity securities that are not included in the Index. The Index is a free float-adjusted market capitalization index that is designed to measure the combined equity market performance of large- and mid-cap securities in developed and emerging market countries excluding the United States. A company's free float- adjusted market capitalization is calculated by multiplying the number of shares readily available in the market by the price of such shares. |
