The First Trust Bloomberg Inflation Sensitive Equity ETF seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield, before fees and expenses, of an equity index called the Bloomberg Inflation Sensitive Equity Index. Under normal market conditions, the Fund will invest at least 80% of its net assets (plus any borrowings for investment purposes) in the common stocks that comprise the Index. The Bloomberg Inflation Sensitive Equity Index invests primarily in U.S. exchange-listed companies within sectors that are expected to benefit, either directly or indirectly, from rising prices.
First Trust Bloomberg Inflation Sensitive Equity ETF trades on the ARCA stock market under the symbol FTIF.
As of March 19, 2025, FTIF stock price climbed to $21.12 with 4,159 million shares trading.
FTIF has a market cap of $1.06 million. This is considered a Sub-Micro Cap stock.
FTIF has underperformed the market in the last year with a return of -9.0%, while SPY returned +11.0%. This shows that you would have done better investing in the overall market (through SPY) over the last year than in FTIF shares. However, FTIF has outperformed the market in the last 3 month and 2 week periods, returning +0.3% and +1.7%, while SPY returned -2.6% and -2.7%, respectively. This indicates FTIF has been having a stronger performance recently.
FTIF support price is $20.58 and resistance is $21.15 (based on 1 day standard deviation move). This means that using the most recent 20 day stock volatility and applying a one standard deviation move around the stock's closing price, stastically there is a 67% probability that FTIF shares will trade within this expected range on the day.
