State Street SPDR MSCI Emerging Markets StrategicFactors ETF seeks to provide investment results that, before fees and expenses, correspond generally to the total return performance of an index based upon the emerging equity markets of the world. In seeking to track the performance of the MSCI Emerging Markets (EM) Factor Mix A-Series Index, the Fund employs a sampling strategy, which means that the Fund is not required to purchase all of the securities represented in the Index. Under normal market conditions, the Fund generally invests substantially all, but at least 80%, of its total assets in the securities comprising the Index and in depositary receipts ADRs or GDRs based on securities comprising the Index. The Index captures large- and mid-cap representation across 24 emerging markets countries and aims to represent the performance of value, low volatility, and quality factor strategies. The Index is an equal weighted combination of the following three MSCI Factor Indices in a single composite index the MSCI EM Value Weighted Index, the MSCI EM Minimum Volatility Index, and the MSCI EM Quality Index The MSCI EM Value Weighted Index includes large- and mid-cap stocks across emerging markets countries, weighted to emphasize stocks with lower valuations. |
