Investment Objective: |
The ETF tracks the performance of the S&P 500 Ex-Financials and Real Estate Index. The index seeks to provide exposure to the companies of the S&P 500 with the exception of those companies included in the financials & real estate sector. The S&P 500 is a measure of large-cap U.S. stock market performance. It is a float-adjusted, market capitalization-weighted index of 500 U.S. operating companies selected through a process that factors in criteria such as liquidity, price, market capitalization and financial viability. The index classifies each company in the S&P 500 as part of a particular sector, using S&Ps Global Industry Classification Standards ("S&P GICS") to define companies within a sector. The following sectors are included within S&P GICS consumer discretionary, consumer staples, energy, financials, health care, industrials, information technology, materials, telecommunication services and utilities. A sector comprises multiple industries. For example, the financials sector comprises companies in, among others, the banking, brokerage and insurance industries. The index consists of companies from each of the sectors other than the financials & real estate sector. |
