IMDb (www.imdb.com), the world's most popular and authoritative source for information on movies, TV shows, and celebrities, today unveiled the top stars, movies, and series of 2023. Rather than base its annual rankings on small statistical samplings, reviews from professional critics, or box-office performance, IMDb determines its definitive year-end lists using data from IMDbPro MOVIEmeter and STARmeter rankings, which are based on the actual page views of the more than 250 million monthly visitors to IMDb. To continue helping entertainment fans discover what to watch, IMDb also announced the launch of its new Interests feature. Available to IMDb app users starting today, this experience helps fans explore and find top trending movies and series from the genres they love most.

Oppenheimer tops the list of most popular movies, with The Last of Us as the top series. Pedro Pascal is this year's top star, fueled by his performances as Joel Miller in The Last of Us and the titular character in The Mandalorian (the IMDb No. 5 series). Throughout the year, Pascal spent four weeks in the No. 1 spot on the IMDbPro STARmeter chart and an additional nine weeks elsewhere in the top 10. Fans are eager to see him in the upcoming films Gladiator 2 and Drive-Away Dolls. Pascal's co-stars Bella Ramsey (No. 5, for their role as Ellie in The Last of Us) and Katee Sackhoff (No. 8, for her portrayal of Bo-Katan Kryze in The Mandalorian) are also IMDb Top Stars of 2023, trending consistently within the top 100 names on the IMDbPro STARmeter chart for the first time in their careers.
