Spring Black Friday Set to Run April 3-16
ATLANTA, March 20, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Today is the first official day of spring, but most homeowners and renters agree that spring begins when they start their first home project (64%), according to a new survey conducted by Reputation Leaders for The Home Depot. The survey revealed that spring cleaning marks the start of the season in most households. Among those surveyed, the most common tasks tackled nationwide are cleaning windows and screens, grill cleaning and weeding or clearing out the garden, highlighting a focus on freshening up both indoor and outdoor spaces as the new season begins.
The Home Depot unveiled new data on home improvement projects, as well as project inspiration and recommendations in its first What Are You Working On? β Spring Project Report. Key findings uncovered:

METHODOLOGY: To understand which Spring projects consumers are planning to tackle in 2025, The Home Depot commissioned the What Are You Working On? - Spring Project Report. In partnership with independent research firm, Reputation Leaders, the company conducted a survey among 5,000 American adults aged 21 and older, across homeowners or renters, who have undertaken a home improvement or spring-cleaning project in the last year. Survey respondents were recruited evenly across the 50 US states, with 100 adult respondents from each state. Additionally, the sample is comprised of homeowners (79%) and renters (21%), and men (54%) and women (46%).
