Women's Business Conference Scheduled at the National Entrepreneur Center

PRNewswire 13-Mar-2019 10:35 AM

ORLANDO, Fla., March 13, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Women businesses owners comprise one of the fastest growing segments of new business formation in the country, and Central Florida is full of dynamic businesses that are owned, run and managed by women. The National Entrepreneur Center (NEC), in partnership with the Orlando Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), and SCORE have scheduled Women's Business Conference entitled "It's All About The Climb." The event will feature an entire afternoon of business training and activities on Thursday, March 28th beginning at 1pm and concluding with a networking session at 5pm. Each educational session is designed to assist women in all aspects of business, from leadership and personal branding to juggling work/life balance.

Bonnie Harvey, co-founder of Barefoot Wine, will deliver the key-note address for the event and will also conduct a learning session entitled "Soft Skills Earn Hard Cash." Barefoot Wine has become the world's number one wine brand (in cases shipped per year), and is the subject of Ms. Harvey's book entitled THE BAREFOOT SPIRIT. "We are excited, not only about Harvey's visit, but about the great partnerships that have developed with The National Association of Women Business Owners and SCORE to provide this unique opportunity for Central Florida business women to connect with, and learn from, other business women," said Jerry Ross, President of the National Entrepreneur Center. Other speakers at the event include media consultant Michelle Burdo, corporate trainer Neila Wilson, and branding expert Wendy Lyn Phillips.

The event will be held at the National Entrepreneur Center, inside Orlando Fashion Square, at 3201 E Colonial Drive, Orlando, Florida 32803. For more information and tickets, please visit http://NationalEC.org/TheClimb

This education initiative is the first organized by the center, in conjunction with JPMogran Chase, after an investment of $185,000 to the NEC by the bank and financial services company announced last month. This money will help the center provide training and resources to underserved small businesses in Central Florida through targeted business training events, improve online access to NEC resources, and conduct a variety of business education seminars for both low and moderate income neighborhoods and underserved minority entrepreneur groups.
