State Street SPDR Bloomberg 3-12 Month T-Bill ETF seeks to provide investment results that, before fees and expenses, correspond generally to the price and yield performance of an index that tracks the 3-12 month sector of the United States Treasury Bill market. In seeking to track the performance of the Bloomberg 3-12 Month U.S. Treasury Bill Index (the "Index"), the Fund employs a sampling strategy, which means that the Fund is not required to purchase all of the securities represented in the Index. The Index is designed to measure the performance of public obligations of the U.S. Treasury that have a remaining maturity of greater than or equal to 3 months and less than 12 months. The Index includes all publicly issued U.S. Treasury Bills that have a remaining maturity of less than 12 months and at least 3 months, and are rated investment-grade.
