Vanguard Core Bond ETF is an actively managed fund seeks to provide broadly diversified exposure predominantly to the U.S. investment-grade bond market. The fund invests in U.S. Treasury, mortgage-backed, and corporate securities of varying yields and maturities (short-, intermediate-, and long-term issues). VCRB uses a disciplined, risk-controlled approach, the fund seeks to outperform the broad investment grade market through security selection, sector allocation, and, to a lesser extent, duration decisions. In general, bonds purchased by the Fund will have a maturity of 90 days or more at the time of their issuance. In addition, the Fund invests predominantly in U.S. dollar-denominated bonds, although these bonds may be issued by a foreign corporation or a U.S. affiliate of a foreign corporation, or a foreign government or its agencies and instrumentalities.
